Dec 4, 2020 | Company News

We usually hear about PDT therapy when we go to salon for facial care. The treatment looks easily that you just need to lying on the bed with a face mask under the LED light of skin care machine. Will you think if it is really useful for our face? Let’s get more knowledge about PDT therapy.

What is PDT therapy?

This is an advanced high-tech beauty project that uses intense pulsed light of 560 ~ 1200nm to directly irradiate the surface of the skin. It can penetrate to the deep layer of the skin, selectively act on subcutaneous pigments or blood vessels, decompose color spots, and close abnormally. Red blood streak relieves all kinds of blemishes on your skin. At the same time, photon can also stimulate the proliferation of collagen under the skin and regenerate the reorganized collagen tissues, so that the pores contract, wrinkles are reduced, the skin restores elasticity, health and shine.

PDT therapy has different color light when it works. The different color light has different effect to skin:

Although PDT therapy is safe and non-invasive technology, we can work as usual after treatment. We also need to take good care of our face after PDT treatment.

  1. After the treatment, because the skin is relatively delicate, you must prevent sun exposure. Use SPF20-25 sunscreen when you go out. It is strictly forbidden to use aspirin and alcohol (cosmeticsproducts). Do not squeeze, press, touch or rub the treatment surface.
  2. It is forbidden to eat photosensitive foods such as celery, leeks, coriander, etc. and are photosensitive medicines during PDT skin rejuvenation. Fasting sensitive skin can’t eat those foods which willcause skin allergies.
  3. After the treatment, because the absorption capacity of the skin is enhanced, the metabolism is accelerated, some patients may have dry skin and lack of water, so skin care is required to supplement enough water after treatment.

  1. Glycolic acid, A-acid and other ingredients should not be used within one week after PDT treatment, and physical exfoliation products with high irritation should be avoided.
